Event Description

Part of the beauty of dance is how one generation of artists inspires and influences the next — it’s how an art form survives, thrives and grows. Join us for an evening of veteran and emerging dancers in an inter-generational program featuring several stellar choreographers, including Laraine Goodman and her Jazz Tap Playground, an eclectic group of dancers and musicians exploring the many joyous genres of tap; Kevin Iega Jeff, founder of JUBILATION! Dance Company and co-founder of Deeply Rooted Productions, with a mixed group of young to mature dancers performing his masterwork “Church Of Nations”; and Earl Moseley, founder of Diversity of Dance, who will be working with dancers and high school students from the tri-state area in the acclaimed Dancers Unconquered. Up and coming choreographer Jai Santiago Perez has also been commissioned to create a new work titled 'Lessons You Taught Me' for this program. The baton is passed, the evolution continues… and the beat goes on.
